OUR STORY
Shortly after becoming a first-time homeowner in 2020, Jake’s first project became the transformation of his existing patio. He envisioned a luxurious yet functional space that allowed him to relax and entertain family and friends. However, he knew the project was too big to take on alone, so he reached out to his long-time friend Jesse for support. With Jake’s background in business, and Jesse’s experience in construction and equipment operation, the two worked exceptionally well together. Little did they know this project would be the first of many, as it quickly sparked their interest in outdoor living. Upon completing Jake’s patio, they put together their shared passion for creativity and rewarding work in landscape and design, and Arbor Vitae was born.

Our first meeting will be held at your property, where we’ll have the chance to get to know each other better. We’ll ask you various questions to understand your vision and needs for your space. We want to ensure we are on the same page regarding the project scope.
Once you’ve decided to move forward with us, our team will acquire all necessary permits and conduct a site assessment to help us create a base plan. The base plan will allow us to ensure we bring you the exact quantity of materials and design concepts for your dream outdoor space.
We focus on concept development through collaborative meetings, discussing materials and aligning with your personal style. This phase also includes adjustments like grading, drainage, and tree management. We suggest additions like furniture and lighting to enhance the design. After this, we can create hand-drawn and 3D software visualizations to present the project concept.
Upon completion of construction, we will walk you through everything to ensure you are completely satisfied with the outcome and that your outdoor living space is just as you envisioned.
Lastly, you will receive a final invoice, and we’re always happy to answer any further questions you may have!

When developing the design, we may offer furniture, garden enhancement and landscape lighting suggestions to complement your space.
Following the design phase, we craft drawings by hand and use 3D software to present you with the concept of your project.
Once your concept has been finalized, we will prepare and provide you with a detailed cost estimate. All that’s left to do is sign a copy of your contract and pay a deposit!
Following the scheduling of your construction date, our team will arrive promptly, act professionally while on-site and ensure that the site is tidy at the end of the day. During the project, you can expect full transparency, we will manage and evaluate the schedule and construction and discuss any questions or concerns with you.
