Like other reviewers, we met Jacob and Jesse at the Fergus Home Show. They were kind and enthusiastic, and even though it was over a year until we were ready, we contacted them right away based on that first impression. It was late in the season, so we were fully expecting to wait until spring to be scheduled in, and also being a small project, we expected it not to be a priority. But thanks to their strong project management skills, the small project turned out to be an advantage because they knew their schedule well enough to know exactly where the gaps were that would accommodate a project of this size. On top of that, we know nothing about hardscaping and don't have an eye for design, so when Jacob met with us, we told him outright that we are clueless and would need help choosing things. He had no problem narrowing down exactly what kinds of materials we should look at in the extensive catalogue, and even gave suggestions on the colours. While onsite, the team was knowledgeable and exceptionally detail oriented, even taking the time to paint metal fittings that would show to match the metal we chose for the railing. The project was to replace our front stairs, walkway, post, and railings, and resurface the concrete front porch. The finished project is so solid and beautiful that we are receiving compliments from people we have never spoken to before. TL;dr: Arbor Vitae are friendly, knowledgeable, clear communicators, detail-oriented, and treat small projects with the same enthusiasm and care as a big project. We had our front entry steps replaced by Arbor Vitae last fall and we could not be happier! We met Jacob at last years Fergus Home Show and from that time through the design and quote process we knew we picked the right team. When Jacob and the crew showed up to do the work, they were punctual, polite, and did a great job. They even recommended someone to do the railing and pillars for us, which just completed the whole entry step and garden wall project! After meeting Jacob & Jesse at the Fergus Lions Home Show, my wife and I contacted and ultimately hired them to complete our landscaping project. Our project included replacing our small deck with a patio, completing a walkway along the side of our house, adding a fire pit area, regrading and sodding our backyard, and removing an overgrown mess along the driveway and replacing it with river rock. We are so pleased with every aspect of the work they provided! We are finally able to enjoy our backyard and are excited host our family and friends in the years to come. From start to finish, their team demonstrated incredible craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer service. Even our a few of our neighbours commented on how friendly and nice they were. Quotes were completely quickly with great detail and no hidden costs. Once started, our project was handled with a meticulous attention to detail, and they provided excellent recommendations along the way to help elevate our space. Attentive, responsive upfront, honest and meticulous is Arbour Vitae Landscape & Design. They updated our driveway and front porch in the most beautiful way.  A stone, gas fire feature was laid into our existing concrete decking, with a matching 30’ raised, stone garden bed. Before this they set up proper drainage around our pool and had to fix several existing issues from a previous job gone wrong.  We love how inviting the property looks now with the lighting they installed. We are extremely happy with how these projects turned out. Jake and Jesse were able to take our rough ideas and come up with designs that suited our home and lifestyle.    The crew are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely care  about their work and customers.  We have been through seasons with the work completed and it looks like new.   We will definitely be using Arbor Vitae Landscape and Design again!
